HOW THEY MET
Melissa and Tagg met by matching on the dating app “Hinge” in May 2021. Melissa responded to a prompt on the app saying she puts one hundred and twenty percent into everything she does and Tagg wrote back asking if two hundred percent was acceptable or if we cap it at one hundred twenty percent!
FIRST DATE
Their first date was in Morristown, NJ. less than a week after they matched online. After dinner and sharing a bottle of Cab Sauv followed by an after dinner walk (which Tagg asked to do although he despises date walks), a second date came the very next day. Tagg jokes that he saw Melissa walking to the restaurant after parking her car and he called her to tell her to stop and wait — he was looking for a parking spot and didn’t want another guy to swoop her up in the meantime!
Melissa and Tagg enjoy spending time at Melissa’s family beach house, visits to Tagg’s dad and hometown outside of Scranton, PA, vacations to Newport, RI, Las Vegas, Florida and Turks and Caocos, going to see oldies concerts and shows, cozy nights in where Melissa falls asleep halfway through the movie, mixed with fun nights out, and, of course, the day they brought home the love of their lives, Rooney the pup!
THE PROPOSAL
Tagg proposed on Christmas Day 2022 in front of his father and three younger brothers, Melissa’s parents, her grandfather, her brother and his fiance. Tagg was asked to share a favorite Christmas memory from past years and he replied by saying he would like to make his favorite memory today! Melissa was so shocked and surprised when he pulled out her stunning ring and got down on one knee. At the same time Tagg proposed, Rooney jumped up on Melissa’s lap to not miss the excitement. It was truly a Christmas to remember!
