There are weddings you photograph as a professional. And then there are weddings that take your breath away before you even pick up your camera — because the bride is someone you have loved since she was a little girl.
Emma is that bride for me.
I have had the privilege of watching Emma grow up, of capturing so many chapters of her life through my lens. And for as long as I can remember, I had my own quiet dream: that one day, I would be the one standing at the end of that aisle, camera in hand, as she began the greatest chapter of all. On June 6, 2026, that dream came true.
Emma and Andrew’s Baltusrol Golf Club wedding in Springfield, New Jersey was everything — emotional, joyful, elegant, and full of the kind of laughter that tells you two people are truly meant for each other.
Their Love Story
Emma and Andrew first found each other in 2020. From the very beginning, their connection was impossible to miss. After a few beautiful years together, Andrew planned a romantic proposal in California. Their entire family gathered around them, as they all watched, Emma said yes!
Today they call Colorado home, sharing mountain life with their adorable dog Bentley. New Jersey has always held a piece of their hearts — and it is where their forever officially began.
Getting Ready at Baltusrol Golf Club
The morning of the wedding, Emma was surrounded by her closest friends at Baltusrol Golf Club — the very place she had dreamed of since childhood. Emma’s family have been long-time members of the club. As a little girl, she looked out at those sweeping grounds and pictured this exact day. Watching her get ready there, in that space full of memory and meaning Emma was already emotional before the day had even truly begun.
The hair and makeup team from Verve on Location (Cedar Knolls, NJ) had everyone glowing. Emma’s gown from Jane Hill Bridal was stunning — romantic and timeless in every way. Her bridesmaids wore beautiful gowns from Jenny Yoo NYC. The florals by TR Floral Design were lush and gorgeous throughout.
But the moment that stopped time? Emma’s first look with her father.
She wore his mother’s pearls — and as he gently placed them around her neck, the love between them was overwhelming. I will never forget that image as long as I live. It is the kind of photograph that will be passed down through generations.
The Ceremony — Christ Church, Short Hills, NJ
Emma and Andrew were married at Christ Church in Short Hills, New Jersey — a breathtakingly beautiful setting for a ceremony that was equally as moving. The vows were heartfelt and personal, and there was so much laughter woven throughout — the kind that happens when two people are so comfortable with each other that joy just spills out naturally.
And then, at the very end of the ceremony, as they turned to walk back down the aisle as husband and wife — Andrew held up his hand with the biggest grin on his face, showing off his brand new wedding ring. That spontaneous, pure moment of pride and happiness? I caught it. And it is one of my absolute favorite frames from the entire day.
The stunning invitation suite by Lace and Belle Designs perfectly set the tone for the elegance that carried throughout every detail of the day.
Portraits at Baltusrol Golf Club
After the ceremony, we headed back to Baltusrol for portraits — and this is where Emma and Andrew’s personalities truly shone. These two are funny. Genuinely, effortlessly, laugh-until-your-sides-hurt funny. The portraits capture both sides of them beautifully — big, joyful, laughing-in-the-moment images alongside breathtaking classic portraits with the iconic Baltusrol grounds stretching out behind them.
Andrew looked sharp in his Brooks Brothers tuxedo, and the groomsmen were equally polished in their looks from The Suit Shop. Their rings — a perfect symbol of this new chapter — were from Mervis Diamond Importers.
The Reception — Dancing, Speeches & Cake on Their Noses
If the ceremony was the heartbeat of the day, the reception was pure joy turned all the way up.
Big Ray and the Kool Kats brought the energy, and this crowd needed zero convincing — they were on the dance floor and staying there. Emma and Andrew led the charge, dancing together like no one was watching and clearly having the time of their lives.
The speeches were a highlight of the evening. Andrew’s two brothers and Emma’s sister each took to the microphone, and every word was heartfelt, personal, and had the room alternating between tears and laughter. The kind of speeches you remember forever.
Their first dance to “Joy of My Life” by Chris Stapleton was tender and perfect — a song that could not have suited them more.
And then came the cake cutting. Framboise Patisserie created a stunning cake, and Emma and Andrew? Well… they both ended up with cake on their noses. Identical. At the same time. It was completely them, and the whole room erupted. I am still laughing.
The florals by TR Floral Design made the entire reception space feel like a dream, and guests arrived and departed in style thanks to The Good Life Transportation Co.
Off to Italy
After a day this full of love, laughter, and dancing — Emma and Andrew headed off to Italy for their honeymoon. It could not be more perfect for two people who carry this much life and joy with them wherever they go.
A Personal Note
Emma, I have photographed so many moments of your life. But standing in that church, watching you walk toward Andrew — and then capturing every laugh, every tear, and every dance at Baltusrol — that was my dream come true too. Thank you for letting me be there. Thank you for trusting me. And thank you for being exactly, beautifully, joyfully yourself all day long.
Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. — wishing you a lifetime of adventure, laughter, and Bentley cuddles.
