Jon and Rita first met while they were both attending Seton Hall University. They both were involved with Catholic ministries on campus when they first met. They had lots of friends in common and many other interests that brought them together.
I have known Jon since he was about 15 years old. He spent endless days at our home for he and my son are best friends, so when it came time for marriage I was touched to be asked to photograph their special day. Getting to know Rita has been such a blessing to me. We always wanted the perfect girl for Jon, and he found her.
Jon and Rita dated for about a year when they knew it was time to propose! Jon had a beautiful surprise waiting for Rita. He had many friends lying in wait for her and set up a choir of some of his very talented friends to provide the music. Rita was totally shocked when Jon popped the questions. He always did the exceptional for Rita since their first date. He put his heart in every one of their times together. He basically swept Rita off her feet! I just love romance don't you! Every date had to be filled with something exciting and only took her to the best of restaurants. They enjoyed doing so many different activities whether it was strolling on the beach in the rain, taking long walks in the woods or going to an amusement park for some fun.
Their beautiful marriage took place at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church. It was a beautiful mass matched by the most amazing church I had ever been in adorned for christmas with the most beautiful scenery done in reds and greens. From there we were able to do all of our photo sessions outdoors at a park in South Orange, New Jersey. It was a balmy 55 degrees last December 27th for their wedding day. It was truly glorious.
Their celebration was filled with excitement and some fun entertainment from his two best men that had the whole place in stitches. The dancing went on all night and ended with the most powerful fireworks I ever saw.
Jon and Rita, I cannot express the joy it was for me to be there to capture these memories for you. Congratulations.
