There’s something so heartwarming about a love story that starts in college — and Alyssa and Patrick’s story is no exception. These two met through a mutual friend during their college years, and their very first date was sweet and simple: a meal together at the dining hall. What started as a casual moment quickly turned into something more. From day one, they found comfort in each other’s company — a connection that only grew deeper over time.
Fast forward a few years, and Patrick planned the ultimate surprise proposal. On the rooftop of their apartment building, surrounded by the skyline and sunshine, he asked Alyssa to marry him. But the surprises didn’t stop there! After she said yes, Patrick led her to a surprise engagement celebration with their closest friends and family at their favorite local restaurant — Stirling Tavern in downtown Morristown, New Jersey. It was the perfect way to celebrate a milestone in a town that holds so many of their shared memories.
For their engagement session, it only made sense to keep it close to home. We explored the charming streets and cozy corners of downtown Morristown, capturing glowy portraits filled with laughter, connection, and that unmistakable sparkle that only newly engaged couples have. Whether they were strolling hand-in-hand past local landmarks or pausing for a sweet moment beneath tree-lined streets, Alyssa and Patrick were completely in their element. Their love feels joyful, real, and so easy — exactly what you want to bottle up and save forever.
These two love spending their weekends watching their favorite shows, trying new restaurants, and making memories with their friends and families. Their relaxed, fun-loving vibe made this session such a joy to photograph. They’re counting down the days until their September 2025 wedding — and I can already tell it’s going to be full of meaning, celebration, and some serious style.
