I received a phone call from a woman who told me that she was getting married in six days! As we spoke, I soon discovered that this sweet girl was planning a wedding that quickly because her dad has been ill and she wanted him to enjoy her wedding day. I love how Diana, her sister, and mom came together to plan a beautiful wedding!
They reached out to Fiddler’s Elbow Country Club and the venue was more than accommodating to bring their vision to life! Besides from being one of the most beautiful venues I have ever photographed, they were kind and compassionate and sensitive to this very special gathering. And wouldn’t you know it, the weather was a total gift from heaven! It was sunny and about fifty seven degrees!
The wedding day started out in the bridal suite where Diana, her sister and cousin helped slip Diana into her sister’s wedding gown . How special for Diana to be able to wear her sister’s wedding gown, and it was totally gorgeous! Their first look was private and took place on a beautiful bridge located on the grounds. I loved Pedro’s reaction when he saw Diana for the first time.
THE CEREMONY
Their ceremony was held in an intimate setting where Pedro and Diana were joined by their friends and family and were united in marriage. The sweetest part was watching Diana and her dad come down the aisle. As he gave her away to Pedro, there was not a dry eye in the room. Their ceremony was centered around their faith in Jesus and their vows and scripture were spoken in English and in Spanish.
THE DINNER PARTY
I loved how Diana and Pedro greeted each guest before the dinner began. The hugs and kisses were so precious! The highlight of the reception was when Diana and her dad had their first dance together!
Jeff and I were delighted to be a part of their special day and to be able to capture lasting memories for Diana, Pedro and their families.
Congratulations Diana and Pedro!!
