Sometimes in life you meet someone that is so much like you she could be your twin! I had the pleasure of meeting Monika through a Rising Tide Society meeting. We both shoot NIKON and shoot alike and have so many of the same interests it is incredible! And guess what? We have the same birthday!!!! We just laughed when we discovered that bit of news! I guess we are birthday twins!

We started chatting about how we should go out and take some photos together to have some fun. After awhile we came up with the idea of having a fun day but making it a styled shoot in February. Of course our first plan was to do it at Bamboo Brook Arboretum and we were so excited about the snow and the pictures and all of it! Well this past Sunday old man weather decided to ruin our plans! We already had the florals done and did not want to cancel so our dear friend Jackie , who is an amazing hair and makeup artist, had just opened her new gorgeous Beauty Bridal Atelier located in Morristown, New Jersey , offered her place to do our styled shoot! Yay Jackie!

Despite the gloomy dark day, we had plenty of natural light to work with indoors. Monika and I started with capturing all the pretty details for the day. The Little Black Dress Paperie provided a gorgeous invitation suite along with Engaging Papers that we could not stop photographing! The dishes were handmade by Source and Tradition located in Bay Head, New Jersey. The crystal flutes were from Tiffany & Co. and were so pretty and added just the right amount of sparkle to our table scape. We had beautiful table runners made by Froufrou Chic which provided a beautiful backdrop for many of our details! They were made of silk gauze and were brilliant!

The jewelry and fur was provided by I Do I Do and they complimented Alexandra's opulent dress created by Badgley Mischka. Alek chose some pretty little Jimmy Choo shoes to complete her outfit. Jennifer placed the pearls on the back of the dress to accent the beautiful design. Jennifer Weil of Style Concierge by Jennifer was our fantastic fashion stylist for the day and she really knows how to bring all the details together!

Now let me brag a little about our florals! Kerry of Kerry Patel Designs never ceases to amaze me. This is my second styled shoot working with her and I am always blown away by her talent. What a true and unique creative she is!

Our beautiful model Aleksandra Brzoza was such a delight to work with. She is lovely and the most patient young woman I have met! We took her out to the courtyard for some images and she never complained once about the freezing cold. Thank you so much Alek.

Monika and I had so much fun planning and working together. We laughed and shared each other's ideas and different styles. Truly a growing experience together!
