HOW THEY MET
Alyssa and Mike met through a mutual friend back in July, 2014. When Claire, (Alyssa’s best friend) met Mike while coaching at Morris Hills track team, she thought that this would be a perfect match! There was set up by Claire and Keith and nervous Mike accidentally locked his boss out of the office and had to turn around to het his boss in and ended up being late for meeting Alyssa.
Alyssa and Mike will tell you that it was an instant connection and Mike always reminds Alyssa that she texted him first, but isn’t he sure happy she did! The rest is history!
HOW HE PROPOSED
Fast forward, when it came time for Mike to pop the question, he knew that he wanted it to be a special place and a great memory. Alyssa loves Christmas and as a tradition they started going to Beck’s Christmas Tree Farm in Mt. Bethel, Pennsylvania to cut down their tree.
Mike secretly arranged a trip to the farm with family and friends to surprise Alyssa! He had a beautiful custom ornament made just for this occasion. It read “All I want for Christmas is for you to be my wife”, and on the other side it read “Engaged November 23, 2018.
As Alyssa searched for the perfect tree, Mike secretly took out the ornament and hung it on the tree. When he pointed Alyssa towards the tree he told her he found the one and it even had an ornament on it! Soon Alyssa realized what was happening Mike was down on one knee asking her to be his wife! She immediately said yes!!
WHY PIZZA
A few years had passed and on one of their Valentine Dates, they decided not to do the traditional date night out at a fancy restaurant, but they stayed home to make a pizza! The way to Alyssa’s heart is pizza and a great glass of red wine! They now spend every Valentine’s Day enjoy homemade pizza at home!
I am so glad that we enjoyed having pizza as part of their beautiful engagement session!
I cannot wait to celebrate next year with this beautiful couple at the Indian Trail Club!!
