HOW THEY MET

Alyssa and Jeff first met in Ms. Sorrentino's freshman chemistry class in high school. Jeff was immediately smitten, but Alyssa kept him at arm's length for three years! Eventually she relented, and they started dating senior year.

After graduation, Jeff moved up to Massachusetts where he attended Harvard University while Alyssa stuck around in New Jersey where she attended Princeton University. After four long years of New Jersey transit, Newark and New York Penn station, Bolt Bus, and the occasional Amtrak, Jeff moved to Princeton for graduate school, while Alyssa started medical school at Rutgers RWJMS in New Brunswick. It was so wonderful that they no longer had to have so much distance between them! A few years later, they made their home in ultra-suburban Franklin Park.

THE PROPOSAL

Jeff being a graduate student, mornings were not his finest hour, but on the morning of April 22, 2017, during a short break in the rain, Jeff proposed on Ortley Beach, New Jersey where they had spent multiple summer weekends together enjoying the beach life at Alyssa's parents home!

When it came time for them to plan their wedding, they wanted a pretty rustic/romantic feel for their wedding. They found Bear Brook Valley located in Fredon Township, New Jersey, to be the perfect location!

I was so excited when they contacted me about photographing their wedding day!! I fell in love with them in about five minutes!! We joked alot about the other Jeff who happens to be my husband!!

When it came time to do their engagement session, I was all about Princeton, but when they told me that Alyssa's family had a beach home, I was all over it!! I think my favorite sessions are at the beach. Seeing Jeff proposed to Alyssa on that very beach, they thought it would be the perfect spot for their beautiful engagement session!

We planned their session for October, so we were not sure about the weather, but to our delight, it was about 80 degrees and perfect.! They were so cute together and spontaneous, that I could not get enough of their love!!! After we had finished on the beach, they did a quick change of clothes and we all headed out to Seaside Boardwalk, which is such a fun backdrop with all of the pretty colors and rides for the remainder of our session! Alyssa had spent many years enjoying all of the amusements and now Jeff and Alyssa can enjoy them together!

Their beautiful wedding day will be in May, 2018 and I am so excited for them!!
