Chelsea and Andrew first met in September of 2013 at Cafe 210, a local Penn State bar where Andrew worked. It was one of Chelsea’s first nights out at Penn State as a postgraduate student. After a couple drinks and noticing Andrew was wearing a Yankees hat in the middle of Phillies country, Chelsea approached Andrew to find out if he was from Jersey. (He’s a New Yorker.) While Andrew didn’t really make an advance, and may have been distracted as he was in the middle of working a double shift, his coworker encouraged him to get Chelsea’s phone number (thankfully) before she left. Weeks later, they met at Starbucks and had a great conversation, but it was more friendly than romantic. After a few months of inconsistent texting and random Snapchats, they ran into each other out one night and decided to grab a few slices of pizza and get to know each other a little better. A few weeks later, Chelsea invited Andrew out to celebrate her birthday with her friends and while she was not expecting him to show up, he did (!!!) and the rest is history. They stayed in contact over the next few months even spending time together down the shore and began dating in the summer of 2014.
The Proposal
In August of 2021, Chelsea and Andrew got engaged during their trip to Marco Island. On the first night of the trip, Andrew suggested they take a walk on the beach to catch the sunset before dinner (which Chelsea thought was suspicious). Prior to arriving, Andrew had arranged for the hotel staff to set up a table with candles, wine and flower petals on the beach for the proposal while they went on their walk. On their walk back to the resort as the sun was setting, Andrew got down on one knee and proposed! They enjoyed the rest of their vacation celebrating their 7th dating anniversary and engagement.
We cannot wait to celebrate their beautiful wedding this June!
