Alex and Jay have the most awesome taste in so many things! When it came to the wedding planning, they soon found out that Jay loves a splashy color palette while Alex loves the whites and blacks. I think as you view this beautiful wedding, you will see that well, Alex got her wish but Jay could not have been happier with all of the beauty!

The Hudson House located in Jersey City, New Jersey is a fairly new venue and I had not photographed a wedding there. When I visited the venue last week with Alex I instantly fell in love with it. Let’s talk about their view of NYC! We were so hoping for the perfect weather so we could have fabulous portraits with the skyline as our backdrop. We were pleasantly surprised as the forecast was a bit different on Friday than it turned out on Saturday.

The bridal suite was perfect to showcase Alex’s gorgeous wedding gown created by Louvienne. I loved the natural light which lent itself to perfect images in the suite! Her shoes sure made a statement. Adorable for sure but, so incredibly classy!! My favorite shoes designer Loeffler Randall. One of my most favorite floral designers is the one and only Tracey Reynolds! She is someone who really spends time to get to know her client and truly understand their vision! Well my goodness, these florals were just gorgous!!

Their first look took place up on the roof top with the NYC skyline majestic and creating the most beautiful backdrop!! Jay’s expression was everything. As Jay would tell you, he waited his whole life for Alex and this very day!! I love an emotional groom don’t you!!

Their ceremony was just so sweet! In a Jewish ceremony they actually sign the Ketubah before the ceremony. That was such a happy time with their family surrounding them.

The night was filled with very wonderful music by Hank Lane Band. The music choice was lots of classic rock and many other artists. They danced the night away and we ended with a wonderful night portrait once again back on the roof! It was a dream come true for Jay and Alex and watching these two beautiful families become one was golden!
