HOW THEY MET
Kevin and Madison both attended school in New York City at NYU. They actually met over six years ago at a mini golf event, where Kevin immediately partnered himself with Madison! In conversation, Madison mentioned that she just changed her major to photography, not aware that Kevin was a film major. This, of course, led to a most vibrant conversation that they both still talk about to this day! And the rest, well history of course!!
FRIDAY FESTIVITIES
The couple wanted a beautiful venue far from the city where they could get the feel for a country type wedding. They were all set to get married at the venue when family members suggested that maybe they could have a little blessing in a catholic church in town. From here, Madison decided to celebrate their special wedding weekend for both days.
The girls all wore beautiful white gowns and carried their beautiful bouquets created by Catskill Weddings! Madison had bought a beautiful fitted wedding dress for Friday’s church ceremony and what she did not tell Kevin is that she would surprise him on Saturday with a gorgeous ball gown! Well, he totally was shocked and loved it so much!! More about that later!
The evening ended with a beautiful dinner outside on the beautiful property at the Inn at West Settlement located in Roxbury, New York. Wow, the view and the mountains are just breathtaking!! Followed by a beautiful campfire and lots of Smore’s, we all retired to our hotels in anticipation of Saturday’s wedding day!
SATURDAY THE WEDDING DAY
Madison’s mom and I have been best friends since we were eight years old. I was there when Madison was just a small little baby so this wedding was super special to me! Being a guest and a photographer is certainly an honor!
The morning we spent photographing so many beautiful details and her rings were just about heaven! Friday’s weather was sunny and warm and Saturday we did have rain all day off and on. It did not stop this amazing bridal party from facing the weather head on! The old farmhouse on the property was the perfect solution for many portraits we took on the porch.
The girls wore the most beautiful grey dresses made by Azazie. The girls hair was designed by Karen Neblung who did an awesome job. Their makeup was by Twisted Sister A Salon. I absolutely loved their beautiful wedding cake made by Deisings Bakery.
When it was time for the ceremony we decided to move the ceremony inside to the barn which was beautiful in it’s own way. It was such a beautiful celebration and reuniting with many people I have not seen in years.
After the ceremony, it was time to do all of our portraits. Madison and Kevin and the whole bridal party decided to brave the weather and we got the most gorgeous portraits with the mist just covering the mountains. Such a beautiful backdrop indeed.
The night continued with much dancing and rejoicing and celebrating this perfect couple! They will be spending their honeymoon in Bali! Congratulations Kevin and Madison!
