HOW THEY MET
Emily and John first met on Hinge in May 2018. They talked for about a week and then John got the nerve to ask Emily out on a date. Emily was skeptical because John seemed to good to be true!! They had their first date set when Emily got so nervous she was going to cancel. Luckily for John, Emily’s co-workers literally pushed her into the elevator to get to the date!
Emily and John are both social butterflies! They enjoy going out with friends wherever they may be. They love the outdoors, whether at the beach or countryside, cooking together, trying new restaurants, travel and taking long walks together. Any excuse they can find, they enjoy having people over to entertain!
HOW JOHN PROPOSED
It was a beautiful sunny Saturday morning on October 17, 2020. Normally this would be the Saturday where Emily would attend the annual Steeplechase Races in Far Hills, NJ. Due to covid, they had cancelled the race which was so disappointing to both of them. So this day was spent doing the usual weekend errands like going to the farmer’s market and just did some exploring around. While Emily was getting ready, John decided to let Emily’s mom on the big secret. John asked Emily to go to the Raritan Headwaters which is a watershed that hosted a nature camp in the summers. Emily would go each year to this camp where she learned all about the great outdoors and wildlife. Emily sort of got suspicious at this point.
While walking along the path, Emily noticed a man carrying a backpack so she assumed he was a bird watcher. Little did she know that he was the photographer that John hired to capture the proposal. They reached the barn doors and all of the sudden John was down on one knee. With his charming grin that first captivated Emily he asked her to marry him. Emily was crying so hard she does not even remember saying yes!! It truly was the most beautiful moment ever!!
Congratulations Emily and John! Jeff and I cannot wait to capture your beautiful wedding day!
