LIFESTYLE NEWBORN TWIN SESSION (ALINA + HEIDI)

Lifestyle

When I first began my photography business I decided to become a newborn photographer and incorporate lifestyle. I was fascinated with the thought of having precious little newborns visit my studio and to dress them up and do all kinds of fun things with them.  At the time I did not realize how much work would be involved!  Getting baby to sleep is another story!  But I have to say totally rewarding on every level.

As my company grew, we expanded into the world of Wedding Photography and I totally found another one of my many passions!  I guess you could say I totally love photographing every genre out there!

A few weeks ago, I received an email from Sarah asking  me to come and photograph her newborn twins at their beautiful home. I had never had the opportunity to photograph twins before so saying I was excited is an understatement!

Over the last few months I had made a decision  to take my newborn sessions to the homes of my clients.  I was finding it was sometimes hard for the family to get out the door so early on in their newborn’s life. I am finding that my clients are very happy with this new way of doing their session.    The surroundings of their own home is such a beautiful way to capture their first photographs.

Sarah and Eric’s home was so beautiful and I just love old victorian homes!  We started in the master bedroom which I feel is the best place to start.  It makes everyone sort of get comfortable with each other as we start our session. Then from there I was able to do a few details of their adorable nursery (their theme of elephants was so cute)! We actually covered almost every room  in the house to photograph the girls, who by the way were total angels the whole time. They were awake most of the session with a few little cat naps here and there. I loved when they even cried for a moment, Sarah or Eric would just draw in close and the girls would immediately stop!

I loved that we got to enjoy their front porch swing for a few images.  At the end of our session we snuck the girls outside for a pretty family portrait under the lilac bush!

Sarah and Eric’s love was so beautiful as they cradled and embraced their princesses!  I totally love this family and hope you all enjoy a few of my favorite images!
