It was just about two years ago that I received an email from Claire! She was newly engaged and she and Keith had just booked their wedding venue at The Rock Island Lake Club! (One of my favorite venues for sure).
We decided to meet in person one night and she arrived at my door and when I opened it, I fell in love with this pretty lady! The meeting went so well that we both felt like old friends! Needless to say, she and Keith asked Jeff and I to photograph their wedding day! YAY! (Happy Dance!).
When it was time to choose the location of their engagement session it was totally obvious to both Claire and Keith that Verona Park was the perfect choice! From the moment we arrived we laughed the entire time! Getting to know them was pure joy. Capturing moments that are real are the very best. I love that about an engagement session. Letting a couple be totally relaxed and focusing on each other is the secret recipe for capturing beautiful moments.
Their wedding was stunning by the way. If you want to go and check out that blog post, feel free! When it came time for their one year anniversary, I was the one who suggested that we do something special. After all, your first anniversary is a very special one indeed!
They were totally about doing it and so we picked a beautiful location where they could celebrate this special occasion. Cross Gardens Estate has been one of my favorite locations for a very long time. The beauty of the gardens is breathtaking and makes for some romantic background scenery.
They arrived full of giggles and the biggest smiles ever! I could not wait to capture their love for the third time. It was such an incredibly hot day but they were both so gracious and allowed me to keep them for quite some time even in the midst of a heatwave!
We had so much fun together as always so maybe I can suggest that we do this every year!! Happy One Year Anniversary Claire and Keith! Wishing you many more!! Thank you for coming along for the ride!
