how they met
Kelly and Billy met in 2010 at Montclair State University. They were both student teachers at the time together at Northeast Elementary School.They would spend their lunch hours enjoying each other’s company and getting to know one another as just friends!
Months had passed by and they found each other wanting to spend more and more time together so Billy decided to ask Kelly out. Well of course Kelly was just excited and happy to say yes! This was the start of their journey!
Since their meeting Billy decided to apply to the fire department and is now a firefighter. Kelly is an amazing dancer ( she used to dance for the New Jersey Devils Hockey Team)! Currently Kelly teaches 5th grade language arts and is still involved with teaching dance. I cannot believe all this sweet girl does!
For their engagement session they wanted to pick a place that was very special to both of them. I absolutely love Liberty State Park so much and was thrilled to capture their love with such a beautiful backdrop! Looking at that NYC skyline gets me every time.
Once we were together, I was so touched by their incredible energy they have between them. One was always making the other laugh and it was precious to capture! By the end of our session, we felt like we have known Kelly and Billy a lifetime!
They have been together for seven years and have had quite the whirlwind of a romance! They have been traveling together to fabulous places like Aruba, Italy, and Greece and while stateside they enjoy going to as many Yankee games as possible. They are huge fans!
THE PROPOSAL
It was while they were on vacation visiting the island of Capri by boat, Billy got down on one knee and popped the question! Kelly said yes and they are finally so thrilled to be getting married next July 2019.
