Chelsea and Jason met for the first time at City Bistro in Hoboken while out with friends!
They met for drinks at Grand Vin in Hoboken. As Chelsea told us, “Jason thought he was all suave and cool ordering oysters for us, but he had never had an oyster and had no idea how to eat them “. I must be honest, I don’t think that I would even try one!!!
Chelsea and Jason can be found traveling together. They love to visit new and exciting places! They are both major foodies and they love trying new restaurants and food. They have travelled all over in the last 4+ years, and are excited to continue seeing the world together once they get married.
They spend most summer weekends down the shore in the asbury park area. The weekend of August 26, Jason thought they should spend a low key weekend at home in Hoboken, before the Labor Day craziness to come the following weekend. They spent the weekend doing Chelsea’s favorite things. Friday night, dinner at their favorite restaurant, Augustinos, in Hoboken. On Saturday, Chelsea and Jason went to the farmers market then rode bikes into Jersey city for tacos and margaritas. In the evening, they planned to get a drink at City Bistro (where they met!) and then go out to dinner. Much to Chelsea’s surprise, on the walk to City Bistro while on the Hoboken waterfront at Maxwell Park, Jason got down on one knee and popped the question!! To pile on the surprises, when they got to City Bistro post-proposal, Chelsea was absolutely shocked to find all of their friends and family there waiting to celebrate! It was an amazing weekend and they couldn’t have asked for a better engagement day.
I just loved that we were able to retrace the steps of this beautiful couple’s love story that started in Hoboken. It was so joyful to watch their reactions to all the different locations we visited!
Jeff and I cannot wait to celebrate Chelsea and Jason next year at the beautiful Stone House!
