Alyssa and Jeff first met in Ms. Sorrentino's freshman year chemistry class. Jeff was immediately smitten, but Alyssa kept him at arm's length for three years! Eventually she relented, and they started dating senior year of high school.
After graduation, Jeff moved up to Massachusetts for college while Alyssa stuck around New Jersey. Four long years of NJ Transit, Newark and New York Penn Stations, Bolt Bus, and the occasional Amtrak later, Jeff moved down to Princeton, New Jersey for graduate school while Alyssa started medical school at Rutger's.
Alyssa grew up spending her summers down in Ortley Beach, New Jersey so Jeff decided when it was time to pop the question, he knew exactly where he would ask her. There on the beach , Jeff asked Alyssa to marry him.
I was so excited to meet this sweet couple and to be the one to photograph their beautiful engagement session and wedding. They chose to do their engagement session in Ortley Beach right where Jeff propsed! One of the things that I enjoyed the most on their session was the strong bond between them which made it super easy to capture their love!
THE WEDDING DAY
They both knew that when it was time to find the perfect venue, they wanted a place where they could do everything right on the premises. Upon visiting Bear Brook Valley they knew that it was the place they had been dreaming of!
Alyssa chose the most beautiful color palette for her wedding details. Soft dusty blues and creams and it was absolutely dreamy. Her girls wore gorgeous dresses by Azazie. All I could say is that they were stunning!!!
Her wedding gown was by Casablanca Bridal and she wore it beautifully! It was simple yet elegant. There was pretty beading on top and the bottom of her gown was soft and simple.
They had a nice relaxed morning in the beautiful bridal suite at Bear Brook and Jeff and his best men were just downstairs enjoying a game of pool and some shuffleboard.
THE CEREMONY
Jeff's friend and Rabbi was officiating the ceremony and he was full of fun and laughter. It was such a sweet informal ceremony and it was wonderful because they incorporated a few Jewish traditons throughout the ceremony. The best part was when Jeff stepped on the wine glasses which is one of the jewish traditions that they incorporated into their ceremony!
THE PARTY
The reception hall was filled with beautiful greens that decorated all of the long and pretty farm tables making a beautiful rustic and romantic setting. The entertainment was D'Amico entertainment and they had a way of getting everyone up and dancing just about all night. Their best man and maid of honor speeches were filled with wonderful stories about them that made us all laugh alot. I think that was one of our favorite parts of the day because we get to know our couple a bit more!
I loved the vibe that was present all day and truly this precious couple were surrounded by the most amazing and wonderful friends and family ever!
