HOW THEY MET
It was about 2 1/2 years ago when Jen met Steve on Match.com. She was new to online dating and had no idea what she was doing! Match turned out not be so easy after what she had heard about it. She winked at him somehow on the website and he messaged her right away.
She quickly told him that she had no idea what she was doing and Steve thought that her response was quite funny so he asked her on a date. They met at Villalobos in Montclair, New Jersey and found out that they shared a love of tacos and loved going to different restaurants. During the next several months they tried almost every restaurant in Montclair!
Steve and Jen enjoy spending time exploring new places. They especially love going to the beach. They usually will share a game or two of mini golf at Dave and Busters. As Jen tells it, she always wins!
They adopted the sweetest dog Pepsi just recently and feel their family is now complete! Pepsi is a senior so she is very very special!!
THE PROPOSAL
Steve decided to pop the question this past March 24th. It was almost two years to the date of their first date so he decided to propose outside of Villalobos to honor their first time together. Before Steve proposed he took Jen's mom Cheri to lunch to ask her if he could marry Jen, he also asked Jen's brother to dinner and asked him as well. He even visited Jen's dad's grave and asked him as well.
One of the special things that is so cool about Steve and Jen is that Steve's birthday is March 22nd which is the day that Jen's father passed away. Jen's family believes that Steve is a sign from her dad that all things are well. It sure helps Jen on that sad day to have Steve to celebrate.
THEIR WEDDING VISION
They both knew that they wanted a very special place to celebrate their marriage when it cam time to venue shop. They looked at several places, but when they went to visit Bear Brook Valley they knew that this was the place! Their vision is to have a sweet feel of romance and a little mix of rustic as well. I would say they found their perfect place! I cannot wait to celebrate with them next April 2019.
