Peter grew up in Virginia and Courtney is from New Jersey so when Courtney chose Virginia Tech to go to college, little did she know she would meet the man she would marry! They just so happened to both attend a Hurricane Sandy Relief event where they ended up going to dinner together with mutual friends and ended up sharing a cab home. Courtney tell Peter that he had her laughing the whole ride home!
Months later, they met at a happy hour, where with the help of a friend, Peter was pushed to ask Courtney out! The rest is history!
THE WEDDING DAY
Courtney and Peter reside in New York City, but when it came time to choose a perfection location for their wedding, they wanted a southern feel to their celebration. They ended up finding the beautiful Ryland Inn which was a perfect choice. Their day came and it was raining alot! I was so thankful to have such an amazing venue where the rain did not stop us from creating beautiful images.
They chose to get ready on the premises at two beautiful cottages, one for Peter and one for Courtney and they are next door to each other which made my job so easy!!!
THE DETAILS
I always love starting my day photographing all of the pretty details that my bride and groom spend so much time planning and gathering. Courtney and Peter have such beautiful taste so I knew the details would be gorgeous.
Her bridal gown by annebarge designer was stunning to say the least! She complimented her wedding gown with some gorgeous manoloblahnik blue shoes. I was pretty excited to say the least! Her veil was my favorite detail and if you ask Courtney she will agree! It was made by a beautiful designer camillachristinebridal. Her bridesmaids had the prettiest vera wang dresses which were all different styles and a pretty grey palette. Their florals were created by peoniestopaintchips and the arrangement were just perfect!
THE CEREMONY
The plan was to have the ceremony in the outside courtyard at the Ryland Inn, but due to rain, they had to move it inside. It was lovely as they stood under a gorgeous arbor filled with pretty white flowers and became man and wife.
After the ceremony, we had some fun doing all of the family portraits and then it was off to find some pretty locations where we could be covered but also have some pretty natural light for all of our portraits. The courtyard lent itself to our fun bridal party portraits and then it was off to a few other locations for Courtney and Peter's portraits and the rain had nothing on us because they totally rocked it! Their sweet connection and love for one another is beyond beautiful and I enjoyed capturing it so so much!
THE PARTY
The party started with an awesome band that set the tone immediately for the fun and the dancing. People were dancing into the reception hall as they were being seated and I thought that was so much fun! Thanks to Craig Scott Entertainment for getting this awesome party started! Peter is known for his famous move with Courtney called the dip! He is such a pro at it and I adore it! I think he could actually give lessons on it!!!
The whole night was a total celebration of this beautiful couple! Courtney and Peter, it was truly an honor capturing your wedding day and Jeff and I wish you much love and happiness! Enjoy Greece! I cannot wait to see the pictures you capture!
