THEIR BEAUTIFUL LOVE STORY
Jillian and Max met on Tinder. I find so many wonderful matches comes from Tinder! WooHoo!! Max first asked Jillian if she knew anything about football! At this point, for me, I probably would not have landed a first date seeing I know nothing about football! She stated that she did, so he then told her that his favorite team was one of the worst teams that season. Jillian’s guess was either the Bears or the Raiders. She learned quickly that yes the Raiders! He then proceeded to ask her out for a drink!
Their first date took place at a bar called the Belfy. When scheduling their date, Jillian told Max that it needed to be after 6:00 p.m. because she has a 5:30 p.m. meeting to attend. He of course assumed it was a work meeting, but later on when Jillian actually told him that it was a meeting with Bark Box for feedback they both had a good laugh! After the drink, they were both hungry so they popped into some hole in the wall burger place seeing they both loved burgers, but to this day , the seriously cannot even remember where it was or the name! Maybe some day they will happen upon it again!
Jillian and Max love to cook! Being such big foodies, they enjoy taking cooking classes together whether virtual or in person. They have done some fun classes such as sushi rolling, pizza making, a thai cooking class to name just a few! Traveling is a must and they both spend time making different crafts! Is Max a guy after my own heart or what!! Baseball and hockey games were always a place to find them, but since Covid it has stopped for now!
THE PROPOSAL
It was during Covid, that they decided to talk about getting away for a mini vacation and just some time outside. They also were thinking of moving since the apartment situation was plentiful. Max gave Jillian a choice either to move or to vacation and Jillian chose move. Max then surprised her and took her to Kennebunkport, Maine.
They rented a small cabin at Hidden Pond and once they got there, they had very little on the schedule. The one place Jillian wanted to try was a restaurant called Earth. At the time Jillian had no idea that Max had spoken to her sisters and he already had a reservation there! When they arrived Wednesday night, the restaurant told Max to tell Jillian that they may have to eat inside due to limited capacity.
As they waited at the fire pit having a drink, when they came to get them, they escorted them to their private mini cabin for their dinner. One side had the perfect view looking out into the woods. They had a tiny little heater set up to keep them warm. Their dinner was fabulous and when dessert arrived, Jillian looked down and written in chocolate it said “Marry Me”? She was stunned and looked to the waiter and then looked over at Max who then pulled out a beautiful engagement ring and asked her to marry him!!
