Kristin and Marc met while they were both in law school at Washington and Lee University.
They started dating during the summer months and on the night of the solstice (the longest day of the year), they planned a picnic dinner to watch the sunset and then do some stargazing! They found the perfect spot and were listening to the radio while they were setting up their picnic.
It was all very romantic….and then Miley Cyrus came on the radio. Kristin said that Marc could not contain himself and belted out the entire song! When the song ended, Marc just turned down the radio and jumped right back into their conversation as if nothing ever happened! From that point on, Kristin said that she couldn’t even pretend to be nervous even if she wanted to!!!
Kristin and Marc enjoy playing golf, exploring new restaurants, (especially taco spots) and watching Formula 1 racing (they actually root for different teams and always love teasing each other about which of their drivers are most competitive).
THE PROPOSAL
Marc surprised Kristin one Sunday morning. Kristin thought that they were going for brunch with some family friends, but Marc had secretly arranged to reserve the rooftop patio at the New York Athletic Club (which overlooks Central Park) which he had decorated with roses and champagne. After he popped the question, they ended up going for brunch, but instead of just being our first brunch as an engaged couple, he had arranged to fly both of our families in from all over the country and have everyone meet them at the restaurant which was truly a surprise brunch!
Kristin and Marc both live in New York City and wanted a fun and silly engagement session starting out at the New York Athletic Club and then wondering through Central Park. I must say that they are very brave to have done a winter session on a very cold day in NYC! We had a blast and cannot wait for their June wedding!
