HOW THEY MET
Brendan and Sam me at Brendan’s apartment in Hoboken NJ. Sam was friends with Brendan’s roommate. Sam and her friends came over to the apartment to go out on the town as a group that night…two years later they re-connected and started seeing each other.
On their first date, they went to Ofrenda in the West Village. This didn’t happen at the date itself, but Sam subsequently told Brendan that she and one of her co-workers spent most of that day looking at the menu and trying to figure out what Sam should order that is not messy since it was Mexican food…little did Sam know at the time that Brendan is a very messy eater.
Brendan proposed to Sam in Gramercy Park in front of the big Christmas tree. Sam does not like being surprised, interrogated Brendan with yes or no questions to extract as much detail as possible, thankfully Brendan was at least able to keep the specifics a surprise but Sam figured out the actual day and time it was occurring. The night before Brendan took Sam to Ofrenda (where we had out first date). After the proposal / photo op, we went to other nostalgic places for drinks and dinner.
Brendan and Sam love to travel and also enjoy trying new restaurants and whenever they can, they always go to the beach!
Jeff and I cannot wait to celebrate their beautiful wedding August 2022!
