Katie and Steve started their friendship all the way back in the 4th grade. They grew up playing together at the little league fields in their hometown. They only lived a few blocks away from each other. You would say that they were best friends growing up.
During high school and college years they did not see each other very often, but always kept in touch. I guess you would say that they were destined to find each other again, but this time, in a way that was a surprise to both of them. It was only about 2 years ago that Steve reached out to Katie and asked her out for the first time on Valentine's Day. You could say from that time on she had butterflies and they have not stopped.
Their wedding day was surely fit for a prince and his princess. Everything from the invitations and everything in between was hand picked with such love and so much preparation. Katie and her mom spent hours and months planning every last detail.
When I arrived the morning of the wedding, there was such an atmosphere of love the minute I entered their home. The bridesmaids were already having hair and makeup done and Katie was busy taking care of last minute details.
The highlight of my day was enjoying the four little flower girls! Their sweetness and different personalities kept me hopping for sure and loving every moment! They were indeed my little helpers and I could not stop taking pictures of them! Katie is close to each of them in such a special way that when it came time to photograph them all I was just over the moon!
The bridesmaids were so gracious and helpful in every way possible. There was the forecast of rain was coming so we had to make our way out to the yard for some shots before it downpoured. And it did! Just as Katie was getting into the car the skies opened up. I have to say it was a bit tough keeping her dry, but we actually managed to get some sweet photos with the rain surrounding us.
The ceremony was held at her parish that she grew up in and it was a beautiful service filled with lots of love, family and friends. When it was over we made our way to the beautiful Park Savoy located in Florham Park NJ. We were thankful for the beautiful venue seeing we did our photographs inside and they turned out beautiful!
The night was such a celebration of this beautiful couples marriage and I was so thankful to be there to capture every sweet moment!
