When you are a wedding photographer, you are constantly enjoying all of the fun and planning of your brides! It is a totally awesome pleasure and I enjoy it so much. I love details! I want to always know everything that is happening in my client’s wedding plans!
But this engagement session is so special and close to my heart. Kaitlin is my daughter and is getting married!! Be still my heart!!! Wow, I waited her whole life to enjoy this journey with her and it is finally here! The only tough thing as a wedding photographer and mother of the bride is that you don’t get to photograph her wedding, but there will be nothing greater than being by her side all day and watching her day unfold and just being her mama! We are blessed with a wonderful friend of mine, Jessica Olivero, who will be traveling to North Carolina to capture Kaitlin’s wedding day.
Kaitlin is a pediatric ICU nurse and works and lives in North Carolina. Everyone would joke with me and say, Kaitlin is destined to marry a doctor! I would just laugh at that all the time. Well wouldn’t you know it, she is marrying a Dr.! Andrew is in his second year of residency at the same hospital Kaitlin works at. They met through their church a few years ago and did not see one another for about a year. They have some mutual friends who thought they would be perfect for one another so they arranged a little get together. They hit it off so well Andrew actually called her and asked her to dinner that week. They started dating and discovered all of the things they have in common. One of them being animals!! Andrew now has two adorable dogs that he shares with Kaitlin. We have Wendell the Westy, and Dudley the border collie. They are the cutest brothers ever.
My husband and I absolutely adore Andrew and feel so blessed that he will soon be our son! He is so kind and sweet and has such a beautiful heart to help the sick as Kaitlin does.
We are so excited to be sharing their wedding day this December. It will be held in North Carolina and we are excited for their destination wedding that will be held at The Chapel at Mann’s Parlour.
I will have to take a few pictures just to blog about their special day so stay tuned!!!
