I love photographing weddings at the Rock Island Lake Club located in Sparta, New Jersey. As Claire was looking on the website of where she and Keith will be getting married, she saw my images and she reached out to contact me about her wedding! I was delighted when I received her inquiry to say the least.

We spent at least over an hour chatting away on the phone and just really hit it off!! I knew that we would be a perfect fit and she felt it too. We made a date to meet and sign the contract and I was so blessed having the honor to photograph their wedding.

When we talked about the perfect spot for their engagement session Claire and Keith both chose Verona Park which is super close to where they both grew up and of course, their favorite ice cream store, the Town Scoop is just walking distance from where we were.

Claire and Keith have known each other since the fifth grade, growing up in the same town and being in the same school was a perfect setting for a great friendship to develop. She developed a huge crush on Keith when they were in middle school. Claire would doodle in her notebook, wrote notes about him in class and even had code names about him with her friends! (Too adorable). Claire's dream came true when he asked her out in the eighth grade. For a whole month it was totally bliss, but tragically it did not last more than that.

Their friendship followed them all through high school and college for sure. Both attended different colleges but always would make a point to get together for lunch on their school breaks. Their favorite place was Chipotle and of course, they would share a love for ice cream at the Town Scoop.

One day at an Oktoberfest they ran into each other and while Claire was with someone else, she remembers thinking "why aren't we dating?" She basically ditched the other guy and asked him to lunch and they have been dating ever since.

Keith proposed to Claire on September 10, 2016. As she was out with a friend she arrived home to find letters lining her living room with funny stories about all the years of their relationship. The last one she found was her proposal! She opened her bedroom door to find him on one knee!!!

They will be getting married in September of 2017 at the beautiful Rock Island Lake Club located in Sparta, New Jersey.
