A friend of mine, Tracey Reynolds of trfloraldesign (she is so amazing) happened to meet Susie and while they were together Tracey noticed that Susie was engaged. At this point they started to chat about her upcoming wedding and Tracey was so sweet and kind to mention my name to her.
Susie and Tim sent me an email inquiring about my services and wanted a meeting. I was delighted to meet with them. Sometimes you just know when a couple walks through your door that this was destiny! I was their first interview and last! I am so over the moon to be capturing their beautiful wedding day next spring at the lovely Ryland Inn.
When we started to plan an engagement session I asked them what was one thing that stands out and is really special that either Tim did or Susie did during their years together and they both came out with the bicycle! We all decided to just do it someplace that had lots of beauty but also not full of people. There is a beautiful lake in Loantaka Park located in Chatham NJ along with trails and fences and beautiful trees. Once I showed them some photographs of the park they were sure that that was the place!
Susie and Tim never really had a first "meeting", they lived just two miles apart and were always in each other's lives. Chance encounters at baseball games, Christmas tree farms, and church were many of the locations they would often meet up. Their lives surely were destined to be together. High school sweethearts, they have traveled and lived around the country together and were each others support team while going to college and continuing to receive advanced degrees together.
Now the story about the beautiful bicycle. After years of Susie imagining her dream bicycle, Tim decided to custom design and assembled her beautiful white cruiser. He also hand-built the crate that sits at the front of her bicycle and burned a personal inscription on the bottom.
This beautiful gift will grace the property of the Ryland Inn come next May!
